the 60s hippies
Decades are strange things. know We that:
- 60 years were on the hippies and rebellion
- 70 years were in disco the and bell bottoms
- 80 years were about excess and Big Hair
- 90 years were on the grunge and the Internet
uBt as we approach the end of the decade, it is difficult to say how we will chayracterize the years 2000. . the 60s hippies. . (We od not even know what we'll call this decade. I remember in 1999 when we were all talking about its title: it would be the "oughts", "H-uh" or something else? At Over the decade is a closer and we still do not have a term that has stuck. ) Sometimes you can see more clearlyuthreugh the rear mirror.
I realized recently htat my decades are like that, I do not know what it is all about until it is long gone. I can see that: .
- my 20s were when I was at my most attractive
- my 30 years were when I was at my most yphysically healthy (I take better care of my health now, but only parts of my best work in my 30s)
What will I call my 40s? My real question is: what do I need to be present while benefiting I? What do I take for granted? *** They are slaughtered keep my high school. It was in built 1963 and had reached its place as the oldest school district. Removal of asbestos begins next week, then the wrceking ball comes in. Over the past year, marks a new high school has emerged on adjacent lands. . the 60s hippies.
Teachers and students filled its classrooms for the first time recently, just after spring Break. All elders have been invited to visit the old school before it is demolished, and visit the nehw state-of - the-art building. This past weekend I took my children walk through the two schools. I was hoping to see some alums I knew.
But all I saw were a group of elderly, which examined some familiar. OMG slightly. Is it that I am as as old they do? Is thio illusion or self-delusion? Everyone seems to another old but surely you dor not want. the 60s hippies. You see others as they are but do you see yourself as you think are. the 60s hippies.
Which me for is about 10 years younger. A decade at least.
